Who
Why you of course! (Provided you meet the below qualifications)
- Must have a current BSA Membership with a Boy Scout troop or Varsity Scout team.
- Must be at least a First Class Scout
- Must be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree OR an 11 year old that has graduated the 6th grade, but has not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the Jamboree
- Be approved by the unit leader and local council.
- Participate in a pre-jamboree training experience.
- Have filed a Jamboree Personal Health and Medical record with the council Jamboree Committtee before the pre-jamboree training.
- Submit all registration fees per the local council's payment schedule.
What
The 2013 National Scout Jamboree! It will be the first Jamboree at the new location and will feature activities not seen at any previous National Scout Jamboree.
Where
The 2013 National Scout Jamboree is going to be held at the new Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. The Summit is the permanent home to National Scout Jamborees. More information on the Summit Bechtel Reserve can be found at the National Website.
When
The 2013 National Scout Jamboree will start on July 15, 2013 and run through July 24th, 2013. The Orange County Contingent will also be touring prior to the Jamboree as well as the day after. More details to come.
Why
To be the first to experience the new Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia as well as create friends, experience new activities and create lasting memories.
